Leadership at the Chapter Level

At the IAAP Chapter level, you may help the Trust by serving as RTF Chapter Chairman. The RTF Chairman raises awareness and builds enthusiasm for the Trust and its projects at the Chapter level.

In addition, many chapters designate one month as “RTF Month,” with a presentation from the RTF Chairman during its meeting. Be sure and check this website for a Powerpoint presentation that you can use during your presentation. It’s updated each year and is a great resource for getting your chapter fired up about the Trust.

The Trust also recognizes chapters that contribute most generously to the trust with the following awards:

At the International level:

  • The Trust recognizes the chapters with the highest per capita member contribution with the Colonel Roane Waring Award. There are two awards, one for the chapter with fewer than 100 members making the highest per capita contribution, and one for the chapter with 100 or more members making the highest per capita member contribution.
  • There are also two International Trustees Awards given to the chapters making the highest dollar contribution to the Trust. Again, there are two awards, one for chapters with fewer than 100 members and one for chapters with 100 or more members.

At the District level, the Trust awards:

  • The Colonel Roane Waring Award, presented to the chapter making the highest per capita donation to the Retirement Trust Foundation. There are two awards, one for the chapter with fewer than 100 members and one for the chapter with 100 or more members.
  • The Trust also awards the International Trustees District Award to the chapter(s) making the highest dollar amount contribution to the Trust. There are four International Trustees Awards, awarded to:
    • The chapter with 1-25 members making the highest dollar amount contribution to the Trust
    • The chapter with 26-50 members making the highest dollar amount contribution to the Trust
    • The chapter with 51-100 members making the highest dollar amount contribution to the Trust
    • The chapter with 101 or more members making the highest dollar amount contribution to the Trust.

Remember that all contributions must be received in the IAAP Headquarters office by June 30 to be considered and totaled for any award.
